I've done everything to link my Steam account to an EA account to access online features for Spore but get the attached error

I logged into my account after awhile of not having a PC and then when I did it kept telling me that I had problems with not being able to connect to the internet or the servers are down and it keeps saying that no longer how long I wait how do I fix bc ik its not my pc or wifis fault...
same...
