Spore Gamebreaker Bugs

So i was playing Spore for a while after i got the entire thing really cheap on steam...

After playing my main game a while, i decided to make a new savegame: that's when i encountered 2 gamebreakers and I REALLY WANT TO KNOW HOW TO FIX THESE

#1 THE BIG ONE: The input name box will not let me click it to type in the vehicle/building creators in a save, and none of the creators will let me use the name bar from menu... the related randomize dice is also missing, and it will not allow me to load a prebuilt object either. this literally KILLS an entire savegame, to the point i have to hard-close the game from my computer's home screen as there is no way to leave the editor either...

#2 Not as bad: Galactic Adventures mode hardcrashes as soon as i land, black screens for a few seconds before it closes the game...

Attempts used to fix: (all failed)

ANY AND ALL Fix advice is appreciated.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game a couple times with no fix

i run with no Mods normally, just pure vanilla.

Just installed SporePlatnum, which fixed most other minor glitches, but these 2 remain.
