Ok there could be the problem. Games like Spore need administrator rights.

If you aren't the admin of the machine, user 1 must allow Spore in its firewall

I think I forgot to mention this, but it works on my laptop, but not on my pc. they have the same OS, and if I remember right, there was (in 2008 maybe?) a glitch that this happened when you had an account on one pc and tried to play on another.

This has no effect. I also play Spore on two different basic platforms, Mac Sierra and Win 10. Physically this doesn't cause any problems. Important is that you should not be logged into both Laptop or PC at same time, if you should play. Jump into this topic and delete the prop.file.
