So, recently I installed Spore Galactic Edition (which I got some years ago) on my PC and it works fine (windows 10). But one thing bothering me is that it won't patch, earlier (years ago) ...

Yes EP stand for expansions packs. This guide also works for the physical version. (CD) 😉
Okay, but EP, I am not sure... Is that something I manually download bc I I have the game disc and a dvd with the making of spore.. How to I get the EP? Sorry I am a bit confused haha :/
I think you have Spore Galactic Edition, this is a expansion pack. If you have installed this correctly, then it will automatically install the patch
