"Spore quit unexpectedly"
I bought Spore off origin almost exactly one year and one month ago and was able to play it fine on my Macbook pro through origin. I haven't played it since after and recently got a new MacBook Pro, and decided to download origin and play spore again. I downloaded the game off of origin and when I click to play it, the Spore icon jumps up on the bottom dock and bounces, then disappears. I get a message saying "spore quit unexpectedly click reopen to open the application again. This report will be sent to Apple automatically." If I click reopen the same thing happens again over and over. I can show details of this message but don't understand any of it. Very confused and annoyed because I can't get a hold of any customer service to help me. I am on a MacBook Pro on macOS High Sierra Version 10.13.
Hi @Kaeethebaee
You can try the following things
- Open Finder, click on "Go" menu and select "Go to Folder.. ~/Library/Preferences/SPORE Preferences/
- Make a double click on the file named "config"
- Change now from "flobackbuffer" = "0" to "flobackbuffer" = "1"
- Close the file and restart your game, afterwards it should work now

Disable Origin in the game,
Open Origin
Click on Origin ➡️ Origin In Game ➡️ Remove the tick and enable Origin in Game~Liz
