Ah! I went to the post you linked to, and found that you can save if you are offline! The screens don't match what is shown in the thread, but if you click the "forward" arrow on the bottom right corner of the registration screen, you get taken to an error page that allows you to work offline. Thank you!! I have happy boys now that they can both play on the same computer!

We have the same problem - loaded it onto our family imac, and we purchased both Spore and Galactic Adventures. Galactic Adventures works, but only for one kid, and the Base Spore doesn't open at all. I looked online, and it appears that there is a bug in the software (a serious one since 2008??) that doesn't allow you to save more than one progress, and/or create multiple users on the same computer or account.

EA, how are we supposed to have two kids on one computer play this game? For obvious reasons they are not interested in sharing one game progress, and it has created a big problem in our household. I'm pretty darned sure that the invalid login is related to this issue.. Help?

    Hi @Vancouvermom, @WowzahWow,

Often the problem lies on the main window, which pop up up after the start.

The important thing is the game has used the correct ports and shouldn't not be blocked by other programs -> example Gatekeeper (Mac) or Norton.

I've added in this post some Mac tips

Keep in mind:  This is an older game that is no longer being developed.

It may be that it is incompatible with the recent Mac models due to the chipsets. You can try it you're playing it via Boot Camp or use the VirtualBox.

If all this doesn't  help fell free and contact a game advisor

I lost my other account, I don't know the password. I tried to make a new account, and I see this is probably the problem

  • You said in a post that you can not play your old spore version with a new account. Is the opposite also true? I can not play my new spore with an old account?
