Hello Daddy_Vittorio,
the game was sunset at the end of 2023, which means that it's been taken off Steam, as well as most other plattforms.

Yeah, that doesnt really answer my questions about it tho. Why am I not the one allowed to choose a satisfying answer to that?
Anyway, why did that happen and why can you still play it with EA Play. That doesnt make any sense. - EA_Pythia3 days ago

as it's sunset, it's not buyable anymore through services like Steam, the EA app, or consoles - I know this isn't a satisfying answer, but unfortunately, that is how sunsetted games are generally handled. You can potentially still play it through EA Play due to the fact that that's not a purchase specifically for the game, but a subscription service that lets you play a catalogue of different games.
This isn't a definitive answer, but it's possible the original Crysis 3 was delisted from purchase once the Crysis 3 Remastered was released and made available for purchase. (Even though the original Crysis 1 and 2 can still be purchased today)
Many original versions of games get delisted the moment their remastered versions get released. It happened with the original NFS Hot Pursuit 2010 and the original Burnout Paradise once their remastered versions released.

So just sunsetting games and losing culture by doing that. Should people pirate those games instead so they have those games? Is that what EA wants? Losing potential money? Many people dislike the idea of paying monthly to play games and not really owning them. I know, we consumers don't really own any digital games nowadays anymore but this is very unsatisfying. Just throwing away games because they might lose money by keeping those games alive. I know that this has been done too many other games from EA as well, for example the Need for Speed Shift Games, Titanfall, Dirt, etc. Why isn't it possible to provide a way to play the game which excludes the online features, so it doesn't have to be removed from all stores. Adding Peer to peer to games after the real servers get taken down. It's what Ubisoft is also doing with their games. It just feels like it's only about the money and not also about satisfying your own customers anymore.
