Audio POPs and Crackles

The audio is messed up, lots of audio popping during races.  Is this the same audio bug as Grid 2019, is it related to the audio bit depth?

  • If you are having Audio Pops and Crackles, Turn off Spatial Audio and use your own sound card audio.

I went back to my sound blasters own surround sound.  And the pops and crackles went away.

Plus the Spatial Audio is setup all wrong..  Its sounds way off.. Most of the sounds are set to far on the outer sound field.. Its just plain wrong..

You will notice a huge difference going back to either stereo or standard 5.1/7.1 audio..

This needs to be looked at by EA/Codemasters

  • The headset cannot turn on Dolby sound and spatial sound normally, and the background sound is abnormal. The setting audio can only be set for the disabled, and the background sound is normal! Feedback, please fix this as soon as possible

    Hopefully they will fix this..

But for now, just turn spatial audio off, use normal stereo or 5.1/7.1,

Not sure if you are PC or Console?

If you are on PC, make sure to turn of dolby atmos both ingame and in windows audio.

Yes, switch back to normal, the sound is normal

  • Had the game on Game Pass for pc. Then bought from steam as was £42 cheaper for all content compared with EA store. Worked fine on game pass and did work up until a couple of days ago. Had nothing sound issues while racing. On the menus all sound is great. Tried all suggestions and still not fixed. Was going to blame Steam but I reinstalled the one from game pass and now that has the same issue. I have a lot of other games which have no sound issue at all so know it is definitely Grid Legends which is to blame. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated as ive wasted money on this game otherwise.

    Cheers
