Color banding in gradients on HUAWEI Kirin 9000E CPU

I observe color banding/quantisation artefacts in gradients on HUAWEI Kirin 9000E CPU (Huawei Matepad Pro 12.6 2022).

This issue is less pronounced on Xiaomi Poco F3 (Snapdragon 870 5G) and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

I'm wondering if the issue is due to imperfect optimisation for the HUAWEI Kirin 9000E CPU with ARM Mali-G78 MP22 GPU?

In the attached screenshots, the 16:10 aspect ratio one is from the Huawei, the 2.22:1 (longer screenshot) is from the Xiaomi Poco F3. On the Huawei, banding is very visible in the clouds in the screenshot, and also in the blue sky during gameplay.
