Hello, the event for the. Ford Puma has a speed record at COTA national in tier 13 that is impossible at the required PR of all 3 upgrades. The speed to beat is actually faster than the car in that configuration.
I have reported this as a technical issue to EA. They said they would look at, and see how many others are also having the same issue. Hopefully they will fix this before the event ends. I’m 21/28 upgrades, but am still 4kph behind 7th place. I’m hearing the only way to achieve this is to fully upgrade, which is not how this normally works..
I think ME7 did it with a different upgrade tree but like you I’m already at 3’s and need another 2 engine upgrades to complete, costing 75 gold and probably half a days M$ farming
Further confirmation from EA that they now realise multiple punters are having issues with this particular challenge, and asked me to be patient, as it may take time. I reminded them I only have 1 hour left before the challenge ends..! Perhaps compensation is on the cards..
Confirmed response I received tonight that yes, nothing is wrong with the game, there are no bugs or issues. However, you need to upgrade your car to get the speed record. Apparently not fully, but certainly more than the min PR. Now that the event is finished, you have to buy the car for M$2.25M..
