NFSHPR: Lag spikes in the menu and when selecting anything

I just downloaded NFSHPR on my new pc and i went to select a map and the game froze for a good 3 seconds before letting me select the race. The racing itself works fine, but the lag spikes in the men...

Dude same thing happened to me. It got worse cause now i cant launch my game at all saying that its an error on their end. My brothers NFS HPR is also doing the same thing but he can launch the game. It all sorta started around May 11th
