You should be able to choose which version to play via the "three dots menu".

Yeah it doesn’t say free it wants me to pay. On right of screen is digital PS4/PS5 no PS5 free upgrade

I have the same problem for this.

I am the PS5 user,but cannot upgrade to PS5 version.....

It could be a Sony issue as they have started charging for PS4-PS5 physical copy upgrades. We were informed about this happening in December but it came into force in January 2022.

this is something completely opposite to Microsoft who don’t charge for smart delivery option's.

Same issue here. No problems upgrading other games in the past. Just this one.

Same here! This is the first time i’ve had a problem like this.

Its stopping me being able to actually play my new game as ps4 / ps5 saves tend not to be interchangeable so i don't want to get stuck in and then have to start again!! 

I’ve been told by PS support that this is an EA problem - not a PlayStation problem. You don’t have the upgrade set up for the game. Fix this!!!!
