I don't mind using the sticks to swing in this game, but 3 click has always been my bread and butter. Not sure what the point of adding it was if you can not use it in H2H or tournaments. There should at least be a 3 click tournament if you want to separate the swing types
Sure they'll add them, I do agree that they shouldn't put them together in tournaments/ranked because they're two entirely different mechanics.
Should be competitive for arcade, pro, sim, and 3 click really...only option as of now is only tour difficulty
- @benjimufc1 Tour difficulty has nothing to do with swing type. For example there is arcade 3 click where the meter is slower, the white areas are larger, and you can do spin in the air. On tour 3 click the meter is faster and your have less room for error and can not do extra spin. I think for each difficulty they should have a 3 click, swing stick, then an open where you can use whatever. The swing stick mechanic is pretty easy so i would bet scores wouldn't be much different with 3 click. The biggest difference for me is fade/ draw. I can't hit it consistently with the stick. I usually get the ball to go the right way, but its easy to overcook or under cook the amount of curve. With 3 click the perfect area just moves to a different part of the circle and it is no different than a standard shot.
After the last patch that added 3-click, you can play online with it, but only arcade diifficulty. Since the last patch you can only play 3-click with the keyboard, the keyboard analog swing is gone. So PC players without gamepad or players who want to use 3-click are effectively locked out from most online play, super disappointing! ☹️
I understand that they don't want to mix 3-click and analog swing in tournaments, but they could just give us separate 3-click online tournaments.I only play 3 click now, I did the arcade daily tournament with 3 click no problem, then I went into the other daily tournament (cost me 3 000 points) to find out that it was only stick swing?, couldn't see any warning about only being swing stick can I have my points back please EA.

I just had a quick look and couldn't see a way for you to know in advance either. I'll do what I can to highlight this as if I'm not missing something yours may become a common complaint.
i dont understtand why they won't mix, they're the ones playing "fantasy" golf, the scores they post, 26 under?? are impossible with 3-click and certainly in real life.
missing the old tiger woods ea games, sooo much more realistic

That is something I have been asking for for a long time. Just miss the TW series since they use a 3-click system.
me2, i sent u a Friend request, not sure how to play online, but maybe we can figure it out, I'm 73 years young, but pretty good @ 3 click..

- @jitter77 Yes, I feel excluded and worse I have to pay coins BEFORE i discover that I am excluded.
The RNG is even worse for 3-clickers than for analog users. For a perfect perfect shot with an accuracy rating of 8, the shots land much farther than the dispersion circle. I can tell the 3-clickers don’t get shown much love.
I have a medical condition that gives me hand shack. The three click makes my game better but it would be nice to play tournaments
You can play all arcade tournaments 3-click. I sometime switch from analog to 3-click for some shots.
3-click is for babies who are capable of using a controller but are too lazy to learn to use a controller.
IMO, 3-click takes ZERO skill.
