60fps Xbox Series S
Sorry to bring this topic up again but does anyone (community manager, developer etc) know if Xbox Series S (XSS) will ever get performance mode and 60fps for EA Sports PGA Tour? Having tried 60fps o...
Thanks very much 7AnimalMother that would be appreciated. Good point about the screens but I'm sure 60fps would still improve the 3-click mechanism compared to the current jittery 30fps visuals.
And, once again, I kindly ask Community Managers/Devs to give an answer or update regarding 60fps on Xbox Series S. Thanks.
I tried 3-click on both my systems.
I honestly didn't see any real noticeable difference between my X in performance mode vs the S. If any difference was there, it was very minimal.
One thing maybe worth mentioning. If you always auto resume your game, I do notice this makes the game controls/swing/ball flight/etc get slower and slower over time and could potentially make your S seem slower than it actually is. Make sure to actually quit out of the game most of the time and not leave it running in the background.

This could caused by a memory leak. But definitely a good point that people should be turning off their devices on a regular basis.
Besides it a always a good idea to be saving energy.

Well this wasn't so much turning off the devices as quitting out of the game. I always turn off my consoles, but the in-game slowness will persist through shutdowns if you don't quit out of the game occasionally (or play a different game which amounts to the same thing). It's definitely an issue related to the auto-resume function.
Thanks very much for testing it 7AnimalMother and ELO14, much appreciated 🙂 I'm quite surprised because when playing on my friend's PC at 60fps the 3-click swing meter runs so much more smoothly compared to 30fps on XBS. Maybe it's a console vs PC thing? (Another thing is that PGA 2K23 Tour runs more smoothly on my XBS compared to EA PGA Tour, so maybe it comes down to better coding by those guys)?
Anyway, thanks again for testing and now that this post is bumped back to the top, I once again kindly ask Community Managers/Devs to give an answer or update regarding 60fps on Xbox Series S. Thanks very much!
