the problem with online gaming is the same problem for almost 30 years. Cheaters, sandbaggers and team stackers. The anonymity in online gaming just leads to extremely sociopathic and unsporting behavior. If I was one of these guys dominating the leaderboards in every tournament I'd be fkn embarrassed, I'd make a new character and dumb him down a little bit on the attributes to at least give myself a challenge. The main difference is in real life people can't change face to save the horrible reputation they'd garner by wanting to only "pwn noobs" while shouting "git gud". That would only happen if someone needed to win a court or playing for money. But its simply not fun or productive. IN real life that would make you a worse player, it would lessen your skills and is absolutely nothing to brag about. Basketball and baseball would be just as dead as chess and nyc handball if was full of unsportlike players. Thats why i laugh when guys say wheres the proof? The proof is someone who is not acting human, probably isn't.
I just installed 2k23 and i'm loving it because it has an actual rating and ranking system, with various tiers to keep matches competitive. I can't remember the last time i played a golf game where 90% of the players didn't play perfect against me till they were the only ones left in the game lol. EA sports on the other hand, has shown they have no interest in online play and seem to actually resent it. I got robbed of $80 and when they take servers down offline from the pc version they should refund us some money back.
