Accuracy
10 shots, all the same shot, aimed in roughly the same spot with... VERY different results, and you (EA) think this is "accuracy"
and this is with just about every shot, any club, and distance

@Ultrasonic_77btw, I chose the power shot due to the conditions of the course, if I straight clubbed up it would've been too much
OK but that doesn't change any of the responses you've had above though. You're getting big dispersion in part because you're trying to hit a tough shot.
@ELF014 I don't have time to rewatch it right now but the following video is the best source of real (based on info from devs) swing mechanic info.I'm aware of and might be worth a look if you've not seen it: https://youtu.be/uXDLBWYMT84?si=GvE1yFbD68lHyLSg

Dispersion area and targeting reticule show where you are aiming, ignoring elevation, lie, wind, etc. It's not a preview of the landing area, so there's no need for it to respond to the conditions - it's working as intended.
I think the reason people exaggerate the effect of randomness in the game is because they think the dispersion area is where the ball should land. Perhaps something that could've been better communicated in the tutorial challenges.
(Presumably that's not what Saint is implying with this post, though, because their tournament scores suggest a good understanding of the game mechanics.)

Thanks, but I saw this when it first came out. And I had a hard time buying in... while I thought it helped to get the meter to stop at PERFECT for timing, I was not convinced it did much.
As I said I have many PERFECT/PERFECT shots that didn't land anywhere near the expected location. And while I knew that on advance shots you only needed to hit the two points on your swing, a light bulb just came on; and I realized it is probably true of your normal swing. Meaning your swing path doesn't need to be straight as long as you hit 6 and 12 o'clock.
I remember when I stopped playing with fully powered up avatars I was hitting everything next to the stick. It played like an arcade game. I created a second character with no skills or specs and it played more realistic, but you were not really rewarded for executing good shots.
I still feel the ball physics are terrible in this game, both for the fullswing and putting. And I don't think we need to mention the cup physics.
No matter how you configure the game there is no challenge... unless your watermark is trying to shoot sub 54 rounds. And how realistic is that?
I will continue to monitor patch updates, but for me the game fails on many levels.

I told you several times, you're just too good for this game. I entered the free 4 holes sim yesterday and play Even par. I ended up with the Winner prize, top 10%. You're in the .0000001%, they would have to make a special golf game just for you.
