Crash on boot...
I spent several hours last night trying to fix this with every fix I could find online, absolutely no progress.
Context:
Playing via EA App with Gamepass
PC Specs are fine (DxDiag attached)
Windows 11 Pro
All updated drivers
Have the Microsoft Visual C++ installs
When I boot the game, I get a black window box pop up after about 2 seconds and then it either
1) Remains black (No audio in background) and just freezes and I need to task manager close it
2) Disappears, game crashes and then makes the EA app the main window on my PC
I've tried all suggestions I could find online:
Fresh install of the game and EA app
Making a new windows user as admin and running the EA app as admin
Giving my account a gamer picture in the EA app???
Removing my 2nd monitor
Change display resolution to a lower resolution
Removed all controllers / peripherals from PC apart from KB+M
My PGA Tour game folder has nothing inside it because the game has never successfully booted so can't turn off HDR or any of them settings (I've even got my friend to send me his files for me to be able to go through the settings JSON file and mess with these settings)
Cleared EA app cache
Tried to open multiple versions of the game by spamming the play button (lol)
I have 89 different MDMP crash files if that's help to anyone, I've had a look through the most recent one, there's no obvious ERROR code flashing up, I'm happy to PM them to 'staff' since they inc AuthTokens and can't post them publically
It seems at the bottom of the DxDiag there's a "RADAR_PRE_LEAK_64" for PGA Tour but not sure if this means this is the cause of the crash, or what's happened because of the crash?
It's annoying this game lacks cross-play, I can play it fine on Xbox but to play with a friend on PC there's this headache to navigate,
I'm hoping someone please has any other suggestions? It's insane there's no solid resources online to sort this, the games been out for over a year at this point...
Cheers
