Thanks for the details and letting us know what your running into.
To confirm have you also done the following?
- Connection and Advance Connection Guides
- Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
- Close other running applications on your device
- Run the System File Checker tool, then Check for Windows and GPU updates
- Repair or Install the VC++ files for your game (Guide here)
- Check Drivers, Default to High-Performance GPU: Troubleshooting Graphics issues
- Restart your device in Clean Boot mode first then try again.

- @EA_Illium Hi, just tried all the suggested, unfortunately still no progress, I just get a black screen. PGA Tour shows I've been playing for over an hour so it seems to half run in the background, or the game still thinks it's being played when the black window box comes up, but still not been able to boot even to the menu

Hi @StirOnXbox Thanks for trying those steps, to check have you tried launching on a new user or admin account?
