DirectX function "GetDeviceRemovedReason" failed
I keep getting the following error:
"DirectX function "GetDeviceRemoved Reason" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_RESET ("The device failed due to a badly formed command. This is a run-time issue; The application should destroy and recreate the device."). GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060", Driver: 56603. This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers."
I have been getting this error since the start of this gamecycle, never had this issue before. This only seems to happen when the game is running, but another window (e.g. chrome) is running 'in front' of it, so fc25 is on the background.
I am using the latest Nvidia drivers, with GeForce experience.
My specs:
Windows 10 22H2
i5 13400F
Nvidia GTX 3060
32gb 3200Mhz DDR4
Hey @LoCVeryThicc Thanks for reaching out to the community, When you have a sec give the following steps a shot:
- Run the System File Checker tool, then Check for Windows and GPU updates
- Repair the game files in the EA app. Go to the Library and find your game. Click the Manage icon, then click Repair.
- Clear EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
- Check if any background applications are stopping the EA app or your game.
If this continues share a DxDiag file with us!
