I was wondering if different equipment / cloths gives your player increased attributes? Example if you have a Taylormade driver will that give you a boost over the EA clubs you start with? Is it worth buying other clubs ect..
@Jlha28Clothes, clubs, gear are cosmetic only, they don't improve your performance at all. Only Attributes increase your players performance.

Game sucks this is more bs to this horrible game. Can I get my money back? I know EA always ruins other company's games they buy. But really they gonna ruin their own game. Pathetic. EA Sucks.
I feel bad for anyone playing EAs pga for the first time on this release. Any of the tiger games blow this one out of the water. Or the Rory release. All of the challenges are too realistic. They wouldnt draw anyone in who isn't a fan of the franchise to begin with, or a hard-core golf fan. Bringing back a slight rpg aspect where gear affects your attributes would be a good start. Give people something to push for other than.... XP... and points for gear that we have established doesn't mean anything except for the spec. Bring back unrealistic and imaginative "tiger challenges". Not everyone plays these games for a simulation type experience. It was almost like you had a "madden" side to the game, and then you had an "NFL Blitz" side to the game in previous releases. Hitting moving targets, landing in certain zones for more points, putting through all the hoops, ball power ups, etc, etc... those things invited in an entirely different demographic than those who are here to play the tour and get a realistic feel. Though I wish these challenges were more creative in this release, I will say I would not have played it for more than a day had they not been there. Just my 2 cents for anyone who cares to read.

It sounds like you may have missed the role that Skill points and Specs play in the game? Applying Specs to clubs works just like buying a club for better performance would. The implementation is at least in part to allow real money to be spent on cosmetic upgrades but to not introduce a pay to win mechanic. As such I'm pleased things are as they are.

There is a specific category in the store labelled Specs. These items change the performance of your clubs/player but nothing else in the store does.
If you buy for example an iron spec you can apply it to each of your iron clubs but you must do so separately for each one rather than there being an 'apply to all irons' option. To apply a spec you need to go into the details of a particular club in your bag and then scrolling to the specs tab. Have a nose around and I'm sure you'll figure it out 🙂.
