Timing strike with the movement of the aiming arc eliminates the ‘randomness’ doesn’t it?
Accuracy reduces the arcs movement but will not stop its sweeping motion.

Reduces rather than eliminates I think.

I created this account simply to say that these “random acts of god” existing in Arcade mode at all is a thief of joy. Otherwise this game is great.

I've learned to live with it, and yes, as you spec up you will see less shots doing things you didn't expect. I really don't mind it now except for when I do challenges. It can be hard to land 3 balls close to the pin when some random calculation is deciding if you will make it or not. Everywhere else, I'm mostly in the area of what I want, and just work harder to make a putt or whatever situation I'm in.
While I agree that it's there to work within a direction they decided to go with the game, grinding for stuff in store with less than fair pricing, and that it's not likely to change as, well, look at every other EA Sports game....It's In The Game....I don't believe for a second it couldn't be removed from the game and store items could work like it did in older golf game titles. At least you can't buy specs, and the game itself is actually really decent and fun to play, so I say just learn to live with it, and if that's what wrecks your game and you need to leave, cool, I understand. I would suggest at least sticking with it till you max out your player and get some great gold specs and see how you feel then. I think at that point you will have a better idea if you can tolerate the random aspects of the game.
