Does the game still have random landing?

Its possible but whether it happens or not is up to EA. They could make it so that max accuracy with accuracy specs make the circle the size of the cup on arcade. Then bigger on pro and bigger on tour and bigger on sim. Id take tw11s focus meter over what we have at the moment and everyone hated that and it was the size of a basketball maybe.
Also if they did one day do this the aiming arc would have to go or at least be a lot shorter.
