EA golf too arcady
Almost no skill involved in this game. Rough and bunkers have no penalty. Ball still goes distance you aim no loss of yardage no math involved. Example: if i am in the rough and aim 150 yards. My bal...

Still posting on the forums a day later.
I'll never understand people's need to embarass themselves by announcing to strangers on the internet they are "done with a game" on the games forum.
Only to continue hanging around which just doubles the embarrassment and just furthers your low effort post lifestyle.
Go play 2K...its okay man. Nobody cares.
90% of the community isn't coming in 1st every tournament, yes the game is "easy" the skill gap is about mastering course conditions and how your clubs will behave on them.
If I remember correctly, if you add in the game before this most recent 2K it has taken them 3-4 years to have the modes and rank system they have.
This game needs some additions but the foundation is fantastic.

@SneaklerJust because someone isn't playing the game doesn't mean they don't have something to contribute.
What exactly did he contribute?
There is a difference then a rant and complaining followed with the tired old "back to 2k" line...
It's just whining that they didn't build their game the way "I WANTED IT WAHHHH" which I just don't understand.
The game is challenging for alot of people, and for the higher skilled players it becomes a quest for perfection.
I am not some slappy who is saying this is a perfect game in any way, I have been roasting the devs and public relations crew for not communicating their intentions on turn-based play their most requested feature.
I just think rants/whining followed by a I am going to play 2k is just sad and embarrassing True low effort stuff right there...

@SneaklerHe contributed his opinion of the game. Just because you don't agree with his point doesn't mean it is irrelevant.
Do you understand the difference between constructive criticism/providing solutions and the definition of a rant and/or what is commonly referred to these days as a sh*t post?
Do you think anybody on these forum cares or needs to know that the guy hasn't played the game in a week and its back to 2K for him? There is nothing I can agree with or disagree with that is just irrelevant information that has nothing to do with his post.
Is this what you consider to be an "opinion" because news flash...that isnt an opinion, its someone being a complete tool on the internet...
The reason my timeline for comparing 2k21 and 2k23 it was not out of convenience for my argument it's the timeline that makes the most sense. They use the same engine, same gameplay, imported former created courses...etc.
Took them a very long time to get where they are currently because I played 2k21...got to the point where I played once every 3 days because Alternate Shot teams was only in the Playlist once every three days.
EA has some work to do but if they just get turn based in the game in the next 30 days I'll be happy. Fancy ranking system down the road sure...but turn based alternate shot is all I really care about. Game is great.

THE GOLF CLUB was released in 2014 so the franchise has had about 10 years of history. EA however built their first golf game back in 1990, so they have 33 years of history. Granted they left the market for about 8 years, but they also got to review what 2K had built while developing their current game.
Now keep in mind I only consider their most recent two games, the second game being a total cash grab with Tiger Woods being their cover athlete.
A quick search and here is some discussion when PGA 2k23 released. These are just some cherry picked comments I see in this thread about a few peoples opinions on the game. I personally believed it was the same game, that they later build on under threat of EA releasing a game.l
The following comments...there are hundreds of them to pick from but alot of them speak a similar story:
I bought it and asked for a refund after an hour of playing. Not worth the money and the improvement over 2K21 is negligible in my opinion, they have recycled so much stuff and also removed many things. I refunded and will only buy again if under $30
It’s the laziest 2 year project I’ve seen in gaming in a long time. It’s not even close to next gen graphics. Disregarding graphics which don’t really matter imo, there’s nothing to play for. No ranked means I’m already done. +11 handicap and beat the tour events, societies are dead. I dunno. It’s lazy AF. It’s the same bland game it was in 21 and golf club before it.
slapping a new coat of paint on it, introducing about a dozen major bugs and calling it a day....
At least add some competitive game modes for longevities sake. All they did was add a way to upgrade clubs…. For money lol
Its the most bugged $60 game I’ve ever played at release. I think it will be a big upgrade from 2k21 once they fix everything but until they make updates I’m just gonna use my time playing something else.
