EA Sports PGA Tour - Error Code 5 when saving

Was having this error code 5 saving error on PC version. Could not play career mode. Saw a post in Steam discussion of this game. Said to delete folder in Documents folder titled PGA Tour. Do this while game is running. Also in setting of game disable hints - I disabled tool tips hints. Exited game and restarted. Had to start a new character, which I did. But all other saved data was still there. No further problem with error code and able to play career starting with all new career.
Played this game few months ago in trial mode without any issues, bought yesterday on sale on Steam, but can't play due to error code 5, getting spammed by this message from fresh start. Tried everything in this post, reinstalled twice, even on another disk but no luck.
Any tips?
I have tried so many different ways with no joy, I have abandoned my game.
Try to run the game as administrator, fixed the problem for me.
hey, i have an error code 5 as soon as the game loads, the only thing it saves is my caracter, none of the definitions are saved and it doesnt even let me play career mode

- @Seppper tried still no joy, why is EA sports not resolving their problem my soccer game works perfectly. I will never purchase a golf game from them again because they don't care.

- Which platform do you play on? PC on Steam
- Are you getting an error message? Error code 05 every time the game autosave anything or asks to save something
- Have you tried the steps above? Yes. I bought it today and tried for hours to make it work but none of the steps outlined have changed anything.
- How often do you get the error when playing PGA Tour? On Steam it says my game has been used 79 minutes. I think I saw the message at least a 100 times.
- Do you play on multiple platforms? No
My system has been installed in March 2024, and runs with a 7800X3D and a 4090, and is only used for gaming and runs like clockwork.
Is there any other solution to this issue?
It looks like just about all issues are with the game on PC. When they first announced the game coming, it was only for new generation consoles. It looks like the one year delay was to translate the game for PC and this is the result.
