I tried the game afterwords using a controller. Didnt get much better at the course.
The game insisted on adding a draw or fade and I had to use the stick to combat this all up to the swing. lol
First I thought I had to calibrate the analog sticks but when checking they gave no input at all when the game acted like they did.
Also checked if some weird assist was turned on and it was auto added to combat wind but nope. Everything was turned off.
And swinging with controller isnt much better than using the weird home + end keys.
Whoever decided that they should just keep A,B, X from xbox layout on keyboard was a good idea.... *facepalm*
Why they didnt keep Y and instead went U on keyboard is also funny. Did the guy making the keyboard mappings misclick?
This also just shows how little effort went into the port when they literally just did A button = A key, B button = B-Key, X-Button = X- Key, Y button was misclicked to U-key but they didnt bother to change it. This was done with no regard to what is normal keybindings for the functions on k+m or if the keys even make sense.
Also the weird uses of keys makes you move your hand a lot during gameplay as U is an important function on the course but your right hand is over at the arrow, numeric and home+end keys.
So I'll say it again. If K+M is your thing just stay away. Stay far away.

I am absolutely baffled by the fact that this game has been in development for so long but the most basic functionality of swinging with my mouse or adjusting the settings for the keyboard and mouse is not even possible. What a huge letdown - using a controller and a control stick for a swing isn't nearly as enjoyable for me.
