I have no issues stopping the ball on the green. Just need to know your shot type and attack angle. I can hop stop most shots and can spin shots when I want to have it spin.
- @Steynkie69 to add to the above, note that your player development (skill points earned and how you've used them, including shot types unlocked) and specs make a significant difference too. It's much harder to control the ball landing with a beginner character than a fully developed one... Have a play with one of the better pros to get some idea, although the top player characters will be better.
I don't think there is anything to 'fix' here. - SlimDown573 years agoSeasoned Ace
The problem i see here is EA use to be king of arcade golf. Now they have abandon the arcade mode players and went to the simmers market. Random landings no mater what level you play really? IMHO.
- @Steynkie69 This happens when your golfer is very Low skill level you will be able to stop the ball on the green much quicker as you level up and get more power and control
Evian course greens are a complete mess.
green beads are wrong in places and the ball seems to deflect off invisible objects when putting. I can’t describe it properly but the ball wobbles in different directions during the putt.
only noticed this on Evian course greens.
- @Steynkie69 This only happens when you are of a low level and have no skill points placed into certain areas.
EA doesn’t need to fix this at all. Try playing the game for more than 5 hours. The only people complaining about this are those who think it’s a pick up and play game where your golfer is super human from the off who can place the ball on a dime from 200 yards out.
Once you’ve played the game and put your earned leveled up points into your shot types, you’ll find it isn’t EA at all snd just that you’re character has progressed from a rookie to a pro - -Roasted513-3 years agoSeasoned Ace@xGBx_Boogie have you tried to drive St. Andrews drivable par 4s, some are horrendous, i have a maxed out 99 toon and STILL cant the ball to stop sometimes
- @ragingsaint Yeah just like real life you’re going to find it tough stopping the ball on the green at St Andrews
At other courses you need to have max driving control and a 12 degree driver but even then depends on what course you’re playing
You’re much less likely to stop it at Bandon dunes than you are at Harbour Town or Evian - @ragingsaint you need to use a high fade or a draw
- @Steynkie69 EA greens are anything but fast!!
