My wife and I created own characters and played locally againts each other in old EA Sports golf games. The characters we created had their own look, clothing and skills and these characters could improve their skills by performing tasks. We could choose where to play and so on. Is this kind of activity possible in EA Sports PGA Tour 2023?

I can't understand why it isn't possible to implement a local offline multiplayer with your own golfer on a console when everything is already there for it. In the announcements you could read that this is possible. Now you can see that it just doesn't work. Unfortunately, I've now spent the money and the game is basically useless to me. I can create multiple golfers under my PSN account and switch between them. That is possible. I can select a game type and add another golfer in a quick game. This works out. But then I can't add another controller or add more from the list of created golfers. That is not possible. That is completely incomprehensible. I played ea golf with my wife on the Playtation 2 for hundreds of hours in local multiplayer, you could even invite a guest with a profile in career mode. We used it extensively and loved it. Now with the Playstation 5 there are countless complex online modes, but a simple couch multiplayer with two controllers is not possible. I was looking forward to a great time with the fantastic graphics for two. It's just wasted money now. Very frustrating.

I've just been using the trial, you can create up to four golfers within each xbox profile. However there does not seem to be any way of connecting more than one custom golfer per quick play game (stroke play) the other three players are pre-defined 'pro' players and your other custom golfers do not appear. If you switch profile (xbox) it starts a new instance of the game, which is fine if you want to play on your own or online.So unless I'm missing something - you cannot have local couch mode with individual custom profiles - which is a deal breaker for me, even 2K21 let you play locally with custom players, and what is more disappointing - previous PGA golf games allowed progression with all local custom golfers. I want to play with friends locally as them, not against pre-defined Pro golfers - sorry unless this is resolved I will not be buying this.Not sure if this is because it's a trial - but this does really surprise me that this basic feature is missing, plus the face customisation is incredibly limited, but I could have lived with that to be honest.What's worse is any of the controllers (signed in to different xbox profiles) can control any of the four players (the custom, and the three defined "pro" players) so anyone using a controller can control the player taking the shot - this cannot be right. I must be doing something wrong....or the couch co-op was thrown together and is completely unfinished - in it's current state, this game is suited mainly to online only.

That is a major bust from EA. I like the game so far to be honest, but this kills it. I regularly play with my fiancé and on the other game we could at least make a customized guest character for her to use against my player. On this game if you want to play with your character in an offline round, anyone you play with has to use a Tour Pro. On the TW games you could make multiple created players and use them H2H.

They will of course do nothing at all. EA sports used to lead the way with presentation and game modes, now they can't be bothered!

Hey, Just checking in. Haven't turned on my Xbox in a year. Before I go through the trouble of hooking it up, is it possible to use 2 custom players during couch play yet?

You have to be kidding. Been active on this feed from the start when raised at game release. At 1st I had hope that we could get EA to add the feature. But as time has gone on and there has been no feedback. I was even told I could get banned for going on about it, the ea people of the forum them removed my multiple bugs that I raised. I have offered my time to go through this issue in more detail and assist as needed. But nothing. Its so annoying

I have exactly the same problem. I just want to play a round with my kid after we have created our own golfers. Its ridiculous. I have found that you can create multiple golfers in Links E6 which is on steam for free. Its a revamp of the old Links 386. Takes a bit of getting used to, but im well happy with it. (I know it sounds like I work for them! I dont) 🙂 Obviously its only for PC though, but if you have one, check it out 🙂

They just want your money. They are not interested in you at all once you have paid. There is no technical reason for not allowing this at all. Thankfully I got my copy through game pass, so its no issue to me not that I am deleting it. Seems a great game apart from not being able to play my son on a local PC with our own created golfers. Shame

EA ... what a bunch of buffoons. I can't believe they don't allow for this. I really regret buying this game.
It was the only reason I bought PGA Tour 2024. Grumble grumble grumle.
