fully dead
by October, this game will be full done, unfortunate....
good job -EA- at making something that "could've" been good, but you didn't follow through

I don't think EA care one bit at this point, there's no more developer around to read this board. The game will probably be close to fully dead when the new PGA 2K25 is released. The way it's going, it looks like maybe it will be next spring.
Oh I totally agree with you. They did the minimum of what was promised before release and that's it. They did the same with EA Rory. There wasn't enough copies sold, they cut their losses and abandoned the game. They're probably ashamed of how few copies they sold, they don't even mentioned it on their Quarterly Report. Making a golf game only for current generation consoles and PC was a dud, another epic commercial failure not worth continuing.
But... they're making lots of money with their new College Football 25, this series will have a very long future.
@-Roasted513- The game was set up for total failure at launch, unfortunately. The glaring issues such as the RNG, lack of extra difficulty levels, OB areas not shown on hole maps, balls being moved, compromised lies not being punished anywhere near enough and the game deciding for you when a lie is unplayable even when it is actually playable and then also penalising you a stroke all without giving you the option. All examples of glaring issues that still remain more than a year after release.
EA could have made something that put 2K to shame, having all four licenced majors was a big thing, so was having Augusta National, but it absolutely failed in pretty much everything else and were too arrogant to admit they messed up and needed to change things. As things stand, 2K is BY FAR the superior simulation of golf and I’d even say ClapHanz put out a better golf game with Everybody's Golf on LAST GEN 7 YEARS AGO
Well done EA on destroying one of the best opportunities you’ve had in years all because of your own arrogance and laziness from day 1. I don’t think anyone else could have messed it up quite like EA 👏🏼
Not having a driving range/putting green/chipping pitching area was the sign this game was doomed from the start for me.
IMHO 2K21 was close to peak golf... as the clubs were what you needed to modify the gameplay.
No spec that you had to wait to appear in the store BS.
And everything was available for purchase at all times... no waiting for what you wanted to appear in the store.
GAME OVER

The TW series and 2K21 had the best clubs and best selection in the store and everything was available. When I last played current game, I had to wait a long time to get some specs and all of Nelly Korda’s specs were as elusive as a cheetah. Every time I logged on, I see Danielle Kang’s specs conquering the store. If this were the TW series or 2K21, I would have gotten Nelly Korda’a specs in no time.
The current game has many reasons why Steph Curry will get ready to say Night Night.
@hanger2112 It really is game over for EA and to think I was constantly being attacked for complaining about the game’s glaring issues and fundamental flaws. Well, I hope those people are happy now because this game will be shelved again very soon like it was with the Rory McIlroy game. All those licences with a half assed mobile game attached to it that many paid full price for. Amazing.
Totally agree 2k21 was the peak of golf the last 5 year BUT I love EA PGA TOUR even with it's fallacies.
2K21 was more of a complete game but EA could have made PGA TOUR complete if they kept with it. Simple things like replays and saved replays etc.....
I remember when they signed the deal w/ Augusta they said they would not abandon golf like they did with Rory. Now it seems they have repeated what they did with Rory and it's a shame.
There was a rumor on reddit a new game was going to be released in April 2025 but never heard that mentioned anywhere else.
