since you (EA) are putting out an "update" this would be the time to complain about the swing tempo/power, this feature really needs to be removed from the game, I personally can stand having to take a FULL swing to get distance I want on a shot. (then the over-swing/under-swing doesn't help)if I want to hit an 8I (173 on my club) to a pin that's 142 yards with an approach I should be able to but you (EA) limit how far I can pull back on EVERY club (some of the old tiger games players could use a "half swing" for a certain distance and this is what I personally would prefer) there are certain distances I want to hit certain clubs with and with the way the game is I can't, I'm stuck hitting something I don't want....also, this WIND is STILL way off... it's MUCH stronger than what it would be in real life especially the higher wind speeds....also, the "unplayable lie" needs to be reworked, it should be an option to player to play the shot, I just played a game when I lost 4 (FOUR) shots due to you (EA) placing my ball in an "unplayable lie" twice!!!!

@PalomaMarvel24 yeah I've had finesse wedges roll upwards of 100 feet before, say pin is on the front of a green, ball hits way post the hole and rolls all the way back and sometimes off the green, (take the long long par 5 on torrey pines can remember the number hole, but ive had balls roll 30-50 YARDS off the green hitting in the back) way to much spin, not even close to being realistic

I agree with you that the wind needs a whole lotta fixin’. We had so many patches and it is still an issue. I like the TW games where there is an option to control wind settings. I am glad I am spending more time collecting cards/players for MyTeam in NBA 2K24 instead of cursing at the screen from the strong winds in this game.

I normally don’t use an 8I for a 142 yard pin unless I have a very strong headwind.

I agree with you that the wind needs a whole lotta fixin’. We had so many patches and it is still an issue. I like the TW games where there is an option to control wind settings. I am glad I am spending more time collecting cards/players for MyTeam in NBA 2K24 instead of cursing at the screen from the strong winds in this game.

That half shot is kind of there, it's called the Finesse in this game. There's something like a 50 yds gap you can chose from for a 8 iron.

Now I get what you are talking about. For 9I or above, I don’t see any issues on roll with Finesse Shot. However, if I use a Finesse shot using a PW or any wedge, I see more roll and backspin. I play Xbox Series X and I am a 3-clicker. Fixing the physics on roll and backspin is necessary since they can get exaggerated and unrealistic.

I do not agree that the swing tempo/power feature should be removed, but I do agree that we should be able to use partial/half/three-quarter shots wit any club, and also the wind needs to be looked at as does the penalty lies from the sand and the rough

I have been advocating for this for a long time. We should get a closeup look at the lies... in the sand we shoukd be able to see a plugged ball, a fried egg or a nice fluffy one where the ball is sitting up. Or in the rough, buried deep in the grass, tangled in a rats nest, with or against the grain, or just sitting fluffed up like it is on a tee.
And depending on the lie there is a different set of difficulty required to execute the shot. Meaning the harder the shot the smaller the timing and shot path window is.
An example is that flop shots should not be easy to execute, they should require precise timing to nip the ball perfectly. Otherwise you blade the ball across the green or hit the shot fat leaving it a few feet from where you were.
You can always make it easier on lower settings for beginner/arcade players.
For a game in 2023 it is lacking so many things. Maybe there is just a lack of imagination over at EA.

You guys shouldn’t be seeing more backspin with finesse. Finesse shots in this game spin less and roll out more than approaches. This is why they are great into greens that slope toward you and when the wind is against you. Approaches on the other hand have more spin and are great into greens that slope away from you and when the wind is with you or if you are using a longer club (7i+).
