Pretty much the same thing happened to me except it didn't even go to the first playoff hole. Was playing the final round with an AI golfer Cantlay and ended up tied at Torrey Pines with Scheffler at -16. The game sent me back to the 16th hole at -9, Cantal's score card was plastered across the screen and the zoom feature was messed up. I closed out the game, went back in and had to play the 18th hole all over again. Finished again tied with Scheffler and the same thing happened. Seems the only way to break the cycle is to lose the tournament. Hope they fix it soon.

@frankhjr Yeah this is what happened for me too. I closed the game and saved and it helped with the score on the screen, but the score was changed for me too. Don’t want to mess up my career and throw the match over a glitch, that would suck

Same exact problem here, except on PS5. my issue was at Pebble Beach. Birdie-eagled 17-18 to get into the playoff, birdied the first playoff hole, then got stuck on a random view of the course with not way to proceed. Ended up saving the round, exiting, and ending up back on the 18th tee in regulation. The bug more or less cost my my first win :/

absolutely heartbreaking! I've poured hours into this game and finally when I have a chance to win my first tourney in career mode, this crap happens.

It's now March 2024 and this is still completely broken on PS5 (and I assume everywhere else). As soon as there's a tie the game freezes and I have to restart. Then when you try and complete, the game seems to think you're still playing the last round (18 holes).
Amongst all the other bugs that have been ignored, I sincerely hope this is the one that gets rectified. It completely ruins career mode (the only way I play) and after spending £40 + on a game to just leave this game breaking bug for over a year is completely unacceptable.

This is literally happening to me right now on PS5...also doesn't show the playoff score...this needs to be fixed! Shouldn't be hard....such a good game for this glitch to happen...

If you close out the game hub and go back in to the match the playoff holes will start. It's definitely a glitch but you can finish by closing out and going back into the game.

I continued to save and quit and play again. I ended up getting birdies on all the holes on the 3rd try and won the tournament. Hopefully this helps others with this glitch. They really should just fix it though.

Happening to me. Infuriating. You'd think they'd try to fix this seeing as the Masters was on last weekend! I just bought the game a month ago and want my money back if they can't get this resolved!

This not being fixed at this point is flat out negligence. It's really sad what EA Sports has been reduced to.
