how do I spend skill points?

Hello, I'm just arriving in PGA TOUR and about Level 23. I'm acquiring about 2 skill points on every level up, BUT I don't find how to spend them on improving my short play, learning new useful shots or whatever they're thought for.

Thank you so very much and forgive my bad English plus my absolutely newbie question.

Regards, from Seve's land

  • It's easy. On top menu, you go to the golfer tab, then skills. Then you add your new points to Short game. When you move your cursor around, you can see which new skills you can add with your points.

The shields on each line represents an opportunity to open up a new skill type. Other than that it's up to you how you want to allocate your points.

The common view is that other than to get the Texas Wedge skill, it is better to spend points in places other than putting. Though adding skills there will now reduce the size of the putting grids.

  • How and where you spend your skill points is entirely up to you, my advice is you should analyse your game and identify where your weaknesses are, the in combination with equipment specs (e.g, Tony Finau' iron spec) allocate your skill points to your chosen area, for example you may want to add skill point to your short game to enhance your chipping skills, by adding skill points to the accuracy part of your short game, means you will have a wider swing plane and a more favourable chance of hitting a good shot rather than a bad shot, by allocating points to the recovery part of your short game will give you a better chance of striking the ball more cleanly. Hope this helps

  • Thank you very much. Yeah! With the answer of our mate, we found the way to do it, so I've gone all in in my short game as I find it particularly important in golf and I have a good (short) driving and a fair amount of fairways caught right now. Now that I've got many other type of shots that allow me to play better, I'm spending some on power to give me some strength in long shots.

    Regards!

  • Yeah, Allan. My problem was more how than where. I mean I wasn't able to find the way to do it. The clicking on a category and then go to the white rectangles and so on. With that being told, I've discovered the shields thing and put many efforts on improving my short game. This game is amazing.

Thank you for taking the time to answer, my friend. Regards, from Spain
