How to access/use the weekly quests

Im sure this is an old thing but im a newb to the game (loving it) and im really frustrated with the weekly or live quests. 

Even simple ones like "play 36holes at course x this week"  and I full 4 round tournament and it doesnt register i did it. 

Weirdly when I play the majors those quests have always worked or let me complete them.

Any of you legends know how I can get them to work?
