Missing menu items

I am not managing to play online matches.

in the play menu. I can only see quick play, career, online, challenges, tournaments and private match.

I’ve managed to play daily tournaments successfully.

when I try the online link, it only offers random 9 holes tour.

looking at some online videos, it looks like I am missing a competitive and social mode from my play menu.

game is fully installed on ps5. Running from a disc. It is running the latest versions.

I only bought this game to play online. Please help.

    Why is nobody replying?

    I bought a ps5 just because this game came out!

    looked at similar issues and tried to reinstall game. Now stuck in a loop of playing as scheffler at masters.


    I bet wi will have lost about 20 hours of play as this will overwrite my save profile?

    HI @Calum_burt654 To confirm is the game fully downloaded and has the recent patch?

    If so can we try the following and check if this continues?

    PlayStation

    Spoiler
    • Clear the systems cache (Close the game completely > Turn off the console > Wait 30-60 seconds > Restart and Relaunch)
    • Verify you signed into your PSN account
    • Check for updates 
    • Restore Licence
    • Try the steps in our Connection and Advance Connection Guides 
    • Open your PS5 NAT Type
    • Change DNS settings (You can use the public google DNS primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4, unless there is a different DNS you would rather use)

    Hello,

    thanks for responding.

    i have followed all the steps. Re-downloaded the game including most recent update. Set static ip address and correct DNS settings. Opened the ports on my router as per the guide you provided.

    the good news is that I am now out of the scheffler loop and back to where I started. I’ve lost career progress but kept my points and skills which I’m pleased about.

    but there are still menu items missing for online play. I can only play daily tournaments. The only online matches I have access to are your mode. I’ve attached an image so you can see what’s missing.


    Any ideas why this could be please?

    HI @Calum_burt654 To confirm, we did have a change in the menu with Patch 3 (May 15th) that changed the game modes...

    In order to improve online matchmaking for all players, Social mode has been removed and Competitive mode has been renamed “Online”.

    Can you only select Daily Tournament and your mode?

    Looking at the screenshot you have Quickplay, Career, Online, Challenges, Tournaments, and Private which should be all the current modes. Just to make sure are you able to scroll over and click on each option?

    thanks for your reply.

    ok that sounds promising. I have no issues with the daily tournaments. These work well.

    when I select online mode (social), it only offers 9 holes tour mode. See attached photo. I would have thought there would be more options than just tour? Maybe arcade or pro matches?

    or is this how it is for everyone?

    @Calum_burt654 we had an update release today, I wanted to check if this has changed at all?
