My Player Career crossover between xbox series x and ps5

So I already had the game already installed on my ps5. Completed some challenges and created a player that had level 4. Well this morning I decided to get the game for my xbox series x. I figured the My Player would be kept separate between the two consoles which was actually part of my motivation for getting it for my xbox. However, upon opening the game for the first time I was greeted by the My Player I had created on my PS5. So while that was frustrating I quickly moved on to see what happens when actually opening the My Career from the menu. Now I expected the My Career state to be the same as my ps5, however, it actually had me starting a brand new career but using the same player as my ps5. So now I am concerned with actually starting the career for fear of it overwriting the progress I have made on my ps5. So is the My Player supposed be shared between the two consoles? If so is it supposed to let you use the same player at two different states of the My Player Career? Just not sure if this is working as designed or a problem. Also on a side note, can there be a feature added to the game to actually allow you to restart your career?

Thanks!

  • Hi @StanRoofner PGA Tour does have cross-progression for some aspects of the game. This was mentioned in our Community FAQ: https://www.ea.com/games/ea-sports-pga-tour/news/ea-sports-pga-tour-community-faq

Will crossplay appear in EA SPORTS PGA TOUR?
We are always trying to bring you the best golf game on the market with EA SPORTS PGA TOUR, which we know includes a variety of features like crossplay. At launch, crossplay will not be a feature that appears in-game, but we are constantly evaluating the possibility of this feature appearing post-launch.

There are a variety of ways you’ll be able to play with your friends in online modes throughout the game. Cross-Platform progression is available for your created golfer so you can save your gear, outfits, and achievements to access your created golfer across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

Does this mean that career progression is not saved across platforms? Only the specifically mentioned golfer, gear, outfits, and achievements? I really want the ability to work on my career across multiple platforms, PS5 as my primary game and on the go with my tablet PC as a secondary means.
