If there were to be a change, when could something like that be ready? I'm assuming you have similar information to the rest of us, so you wouldn't have any timeline. I guess I'm asking how quickly you've seen something like this added to an EA game in the past. Will this be months before we see any improvements to the online play? Best guess would be appreciated.

Just created an account to reply to this  - Myself and 3 other friends had all planned on buying the game this weekend to play together but no one wants to buy it now that we can't all really play together. Please emphasize as much as possible to your team that this feature needs to be added as quickly as possible (the fact that it is available in couch co-op but not an online private game gives me hope it could be added relatively quickly).

We all still play 2k21 and had been holding out on getting 2k23 together because we wanted to see more of this game - it was looking really good and we were about to all jump ship to EA but not being able to watch each other take our turn is a non-starter. Please at the very least get the team to make an announcement quickly if they are intending to add this feature because otherwise we're probably moving to 2k23 and forgetting about this game.

I take this response as it will not change. But thank you, I really do hope they change it. If not, it’ll just show EA doesn’t care about their fan base. I mean, the options are there, it’s an online game, you have all the game modes, just add them to private match. I mean cmon EA. This is supposed to be a next gen/online game. 

One more thing. The EA pga website strictly states this “private match is full control of gameplay and round settings allowing you to Fully customize your round” that to me is very deceiving considering the final result of a “private match”

We absolutely care. I definitely get the frustration though. I want this as badly as you do, but the team behind this game has a huge amount of passion for the sport as well as the community.

I've been really excited for this game as well and am definitely looking forward to the future. We'll just have to wait and see what that all entails. Your enthusiasm is absolutely appreciated. Feel free to keep letting us know what you'd like to see in future updates!

This implementation would also increase revenue for EA. There is always a balance between, time, investment and what works for corporate as well as the gamers, and getting everyone on the same page isn't always easy. 

But turn-order play is somewhere where we all benefit greatly. 

The reason for this is the fantastic items added to the shop. I'm more than impressed with how the game has recreated the actual clubs and gear from various golf brands, it has been done well in this game. 

But! With no turn order, there is a huge lack of incentive for players to buy this gear. Players want to show off their new shiny pings! They want to customise their player to be different from others and wear their favourite golf gear that they wear on the real course.

In turn order, other players see their gear. This is a massive incentive for people to buy gear from the shop. Right now, the motivation for purchase will be significantly lower, and thus shop sales too. 

That and implementing a competitive rank system like 2k (been a huge success) with divisions (like Fifa’s seasons ranks) will also massively increase replayability and keep people playing more, thus wanting to buy and change gear far more often. 

Rome wasn't built in a day, all this will take time. But this is something we should all want, from the gamer to the bored room.

Look, no disrespect. You seem like you’re just doing your job as a moderator. But honestly, the fact that this wasn’t implemented in the game from the gate, something that should be real simple to do (if you’re a programmer obviously) is very concerning. Like really? Idk what EA was thinking not to add all modes in a private match.  I paid 90 bones for this game. EA is fortunate I’m too lazy to get a refund. Cause I’d most certainly would. Again, this option wasn’t in the game from the gate, game was delayed a year. Seems more and more  like a competitive (2k) cash grab to me 😞

I already kno what EA is going to do. Nothing. But they’ll release a new golf game a year from now, the same game but they’ll add all modes in private play. Just to milk another 70 bones from its supporters. Watch, you wait and see. Smfh

Just saw a Reddit post from EA, not directly related to our feedback, but it's encouraging the team on this game is keen to engage with the community and has said they are listening to feedback on the gameplay etc and will update us with more news next week. I think it's a positive sign that they are listening to everyone on different social media platforms 👍

Calmed down? What’s busy right now? The only thing busy right now is the fact everyone wants private match modes to play with their buddies. That’s the only patch this game needs. Everything else is fine. We’ll, don’t get me started about the cookie cutter player creation 🙄 but that we can deal with if we could just play with our friends through any match type you have in the game. 

I totally get that. But the fact a basic private match with all the game modes that are already in the game wasn’t implemented from the start is very, very concerning. 

@5dffaeae06be6d26I feel you man. I think the game might have been rushed a bit for release because it’s Master’s Week. It is frustrating, but all we can do is give feedback now, it should be easy to add it, as you say it's in  local play. So won't take long I reckon to put it in the game. Would have been nice to have it on release weekend though.

I have a feeling this will be more of a live service game, not an annual release. But you could be right, we will see. 

To take it a step further. What me and my buddy would ultimately like to see is private match with cpu ai. Me and my friend absolutely loved playing alt shot.. but me teamed up with ai VS my friend teamed up with ai. Watching the cpu make or break your game was the ultimate good times in all the other Tiger Woods games. Obviously it was local play then. But no reason why that couldn’t be implemented in a private online match system 🤞🏼🤞🏼

It would be great if it was like tiger woods 2014 online when you had turn based online with alt shot, best ball , match play and battle golf. I was really surprised when I bought the new one that options for online play was limited to Tour stroke play. So much more fun when you can team up 

This game with die very quickly if we don’t get turn based game modes online
