play in perfonce mode on a 4K 55"(that's the standard now) sucks!! a game of golf that can't reach the 60 fps...so hilarious..
but the metric system noooo, it's tooooo difficult for these genius! i know..
i would like just to play with my friend online, i don't think i'm asking the moon..
this is game is a waste of time since now. that's the reality.
i regret soooo much spending my money on it.
I never thought 60 fps was important for a golf game. Tested it this morning and it doesn't do anything to improve my gameplay.
But I have definitely noticed how much the graphics have degraded.
For all the naysayers that complained about 60 fps before the game released, it was all quiet on the western front after the game was released.
I personally would have rather EA had applied their resources elsewhere than than 60 fps. Especially after seeing the finished product.

I know that graphics generally always have a minor downgrade in graphics when implementing 60fps
However this has to be the worst graphical downgrade I’ve ever seen on console going to 60fps
This is the first time ever I prefer 30fps
I can barely read the putt lines on 60fps
- 3 years ago@agentputt I feel the exact same way. I've never preferred fidelity over performance until this game. The grids are so blurry that I need to continue to play on Quality mode.

Why are all career rounds still in the morning. I don't want to play every round at the same time of day. Mix it up like it should be, or let us choose time and weather for career. I'd like harder courses and stronger winds. I can choose the weather in other sports games during the season...

To be fair to the devs, you could argue this vindicates their initial decision not to provide this mode.
Personally I prefer the performance mode and quality mode feels broken in comparison to me, but I seem to be in the minority feeling this way going by this thread.
- 3 years ago@Ultrasonic_77 You make a fair staement. And I support your opinion, though I don't find enough of a gain in the performance mode to justify playing with the loss of definition in the graphics. The game looks really fuzzy on my PS5 in performance mode. And I am all about gameplay over graphics as a rule.
My disappointment is that I thought this was a rather small concern. I for one always argued it wasn't that big an issue for a golf game and the call for 60 fps seem to go quiet after the games release.
I just feel there are much bigger issues they could have dedicated time too instead, like multiplayer, Country Clubs... gameplay mechanics, ball physics... cup physics...assorted bugs. The ones that bother me still are penalties where the ball doesn't go in the hazard or the ball gets placed where it didn't initially stop. Oh and not marking anywhere in the game where some hazards are... showing these areas in the overhead map would have been nice.
I feel these issues are driving players away from thd game more than 60 fps. It's a matter of priorities and I think some things are out of order in their importance.

Pretty much my thoughts too. I’ve always felt like 30fps was fine for this game but I’m glad people are getting the option to toggle it
EDIT: included the quote from the person I’m replying to
- 3 years ago@apollojeff24 I'm okay with providing this for those that wanted it. I just feel sad that the developer was talked into putting this feature to the top of the TODO list.
There are a lot of other issues that should have been addressed first.
