Patch 7.0 update discussion
Okay so it took me about 60 seconds to download and install the patch on my PS5.

My point is that they are not able to simulate the actual pros. You are not actually playing Jordan Spieth in career mode. In fact I would argue the current state of the career mode is in terrible shape as far as the AI is concerned. Pros do not hit 80% percent of their drive distance off the tee leaving a long iron in when they have a wide open fairway... they don't hit sand, chip, and flops shot from the green side 20 plus feet past the hole. And they definitely don't miss short putts inside a foot on a regular basis.
But I understand how people want to feel like they are competing against the pros... in reality though, you really aren't.
But like I said for those that want this feature I am happy that it is available for you. For myself you could put any group of names in the tournament.
@ELF014 You are totally right for the AI partner. But it's cool to have the pro player on the leaderboard for me. And I play AI partner only for the last round and It's ok but far from perfection I agree.
I've had enough, this Ryder Cup disaster was the last straw for me, the hope of being able to play an entire Ryder Cup event in career mode against AI professionals was one of the reasons I bought the game in the first place, this game will be deleted from my HD for good today.
- @IXOYE56 These type of post doesn't help anyone. I am very disapointed about the ryder cup myself but the game is very great. If you delete this game where are you gonna play golf ?

If you delete this game where are you gonna play golf ?There are obviously 2 main options to fill your golf fix. 2k and EA. A third would be Hot Shots/Everybody's Golf on the console. For PC players I am sure more options are available.
There isn't much... which is why I guess EA feels they can get away with such a lack luster effort.

For current PGA Tour, my last straw was in update 6.0 after more issues with physics; the issues from physics introduced in Update 3.0 has not yet been fixed. I ended up trading game for Madden NFL 24. I am currently playing 2K23 instead and I am having more fun with that game. I wished I could have pressed the B button, like making a mulligan, to have traded the current game in after Update 3.0. Hoping the next iteration of PGA Tour is more like TW14 or any from the TW series.
