Another very lazy update from EA failing to address the biggest issues. I’ll be glad when EA finally shelve.this game again and hopefully for good this time with 2K23 being light years ahead of EA’s flat and half assed effort. Amazing how 2K have embarrassed EA in NBA games, NHL games, NFL games and now golf games
I complete agree with harder swing settings and penalties from bad lies, but completely disagree about the rng. This game currently has nearly no rng for a max level legendary equipped golfer. If anything rng should be cranked way up for distance and direction out of rough and sand. Why? Because that’s an accurate simulation of what actually occurs ion course when there is a significant amount of material between the club face and the ball. As it stands now, 18+ under on tour settings is easily achievable.
The sad part is this is who the devs will end up listening to.

They should. Because your guys on here complaining about rng while the rest of us are shooting birdies and eagles on every hole must be playing a completely different game…

Bad lies particularly heavy rough are not at all penal in this game. And yes those type of lies should have rng. Pro golfers don’t even know where there ball is going out of heavy rough. Thats why on courses that have it they try so hard to avoid it.

How is it fun to have the game artificially make you suck? I'm not a sim player, I just want the physics to be right and to be able to repeat a shot. Just because they're not including enough blades of grass or sand particles to affect each shot slightly different, doesn't mean I want an AI make the ball go in a different direction than I lined up for...especially when all my visual feedback says it should have gone where I aimed. If the meter shows I slipped the swing left, I get that and can focus on not repeating.
No matter how difficult they make the game, sim-wise, people are going to play it more than they'd get on the real course and master it in ways you wouldn't IRL. To me that's fine...it's a video game and I expect to master it and play against others doing the same. As it is, I just feel like I'm playing sloppy golf.

@7AnimalMother Just go outside and play real golf. RNG is the enemy of video games. Please move on to another game at least if you’ve already mastered this one. Making the game suck for everyone else so you can get your sweaty fix is the exact opposite of video game progression.
