Patch Notes 4.0 Discussion
https://www.ea.com/games/ea-sports-pga-tour/news/ea-sports-pga-tour-patch-notes-4 Lets start with the obvious points - No online game modes - No 60 FPS - No 1 round career mode For a golf game...
The fact they removed the 200 vc you got from completing online games makes the already barren mode even less worth playing. Speeding up a pointless mode was a worthless endeavor. It effectively makes cosmetics purchasable only, and I for one have spent a decent penny on cosmetics. Not anymore. Without the ability to grind for it, there is no incentive to pay for it. It's something their other titles at least understand (see battlefield) and honestly seems like a desperate ploy to attempt to make their money back on this project instead of actually invest into bringing players into it.
Terrible choice. I've yet to see anyone mention it. But as someone that has all but like 16 challenges left to complete and someone who has earned virtually all the career vc, it prevents me from having any reason whatsoever to fire up the game other than for fifteen minutes to do the daily tourney and 10 minutes to do the daily quest.
Bad. Bad. Terrible choice. Why would I drop 100 a month on cosmetics for a game I play 20 mins a day? I won't. And I'm sure when other online grinders notice this, they'll probably refrain as well.

What 'online games' are you referring to? I've never seen reward points for online multiplayer.
When you completed an online vs game, after patch 3.0 it would grant you 200vc. It wasn't calibrated as a reward. You'd just get it. I imagine a lot of people never noticed because online is barren, and people would often quit before completing a round, or people had so much vc stacked already they never noticed it when they did complete a round. But many people did notice and helped fill up the rounds by playing more games than average. Now there is no incentive to play online whatsoever.
