People have given up on this game
Kind of a follow up to the other thread about "No one is playing this game". Though I only play this game now to see what the latest patch brings, though I do keep watch on this forum to get a pulse...
@ELF014 It’s so funny you mention the fact we are just regurgitating the same issues over and over as I was thinking the same thing 5 minutes ago! We meet here, talk about our issues and we just go round and round in circles thru a process where we talk about the issues, agree, wait and then repeat the process again. While we are doing this, I am 1 million percent positive EA sees our issues and nothing changes with the game except patches which solve none of the issues and pro passes which lack imagination, content and anything for us to feel like we are getting value for money.
I haven’t quite given up hope yet because of its potential but I have to admit I have a limit to my patience. Some issues we have need addressing and not put off to the next game because there might not be another game from them
Perhaps we are delusional and if we are delusional to expect a working golf game that accurately represents the sport of golf, I’d say that shows how far the standards have declined with EA
@drewgriffiths I'm with you... even though we go over the same requests over and over. I am aware that we do not start the conversation, that someone will bring up a shortcoming within the game and then... we ultimately end up in the same place.
I really think EA is just hoping we will eventually just stop commenting.
At this point I have no interest in the game anymore, in fact I would bet I have spent more time overall on this forum than playing the game.
I am hoping but not hopeful that this game will ever be great.
@ELF014 I think the moment we stop commenting with our issues and trying to show EA what is desperately needed with the game is the moment EA loses its hardcore golf consumers like ourselves and EA no longer has a series.
Just like other EA Sports games, the most important consumer is the hardcore fan of the sport. You lose them and you lose the game and right now, this PGA Tour game needs it’s hardcore golf fans much more than say, EA FC 24 and when we are dissatisfied with what we got and have repeatedly suggested changes we KNOW will take the game to a place that can help EA seriously challenge and even beat 2K, it makes sense for EA to listen to us for their own sake.
