PGA Driving Challenge 2 5th FIR 100% doesn't count

You don't need to use draw (and this might stop it working) but note you need to use the driver whilst the challenge defaults to the 3 wood. 

Same here, my dad used driver had +1.0 or more power on each and got in the fairway each time.  Still no 3rd star.  It's his only one left and he's about to quit the game and sick with 2k because of it.  

I had the same issue. Found a fix for me. 
PS5 I could only get 2 stars on driving challenge 2. Changed swing difficulty to EASY and put power boost on. 
Swing and boost the crap out of all 5 drives and it worked. Gave me 3rd star. 
I also had power drive on and one normal drive so it didn’t seem to matter. All drives went 300+ yards. Good luck :-)

Playing on PC and I get this too.  No matter what you do, the first shot never counts.
I have switched it to the Driver, and also changed the shot type off and back onto driver before taking the shot.  

320+ yards and on the fairway, and the first shot always returns as 0/5.  

Every other shot will count and you top out at 4 /5 so you can never get this star.

Make sure you always have a driver in hand and use Drive shot, as the game wants to give you a 3-wood, switch to 3-click and you will have no problem going in the red every time. It just a matters to always hit the fairway as they don't count if it's not in the fairway.

How is this still broken? And how many more of these challenges am I going to do that don't count? I just started playing this game a few days ago and I'm already frustrated. I have tried using the driver for the first shot. I always land in the fairway but it never registers the star. In fact, I spent about 30 minutes trying this challenge before coming to the internet to see if it was bugged. How has this not been patched after all this time? EA just doesn't care about the quality control, I guess. Not even sure I want to keep playing, for fear that there are other game breaking bugs that I may encounter in the future. This is only day 3 for me. Games are supposed to be fun, not a source of anger and frustration. 

1. Make sure you have a driver
2. Make sure you use a Drive and not a Power Drive
3. Make sure the Power total ends with a +, if it ends up with a minus, it won't count.
4. The ball must end up in the fairway

This game has an habit to switch club between shot.  If it switch to a 3 wood or another type of shot like a Power Drive, the shot won't count
