I agree with the perfect/perfect execution and there being no guarantees because of things that you don't control like the wind, elevation, etc., but for a shot to be perfect/perfect with no wind and be off by 10-20 yards, in the air, is a little hard to swallow.
I just noticed something though, I'm pretty new at this game, but with a career player I was wondering how you upgrade the clubs in your bag beside shelling out money to buy the needed points? And at what level do they have to get to before their skill improves beyond being an amateur's skill?

@simeurocat I personally have given up on understanding what constitutes a perfect shot in this game. I just hit the ball to the safest area possible if hazards are in play, and carry on from where the game pits my ball.
You will however find things will get better as you apply skill points and specs to your character. But you will still get the odd shot that has you shaking your head. I just accept it as part of the game that is not in my control.
However... once you level up your character... your short game will improve drastically. You should be able to get up and down from pretty much anywhere inside 70 yards.
The game becomes far too easy at that point.
