Hi @Requascatinpace Thanks for letting us know what you are running into!

To confirm do you get error code 5 on every page once your in the game?

Also, when you have a moment can we try the following?

  • EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery) 
  • Repair/Verify your game based on which client you are launching from
    • EA App - Repair (My Collection > Tile Dots > Repair)
  • Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates  
  • Default your game to the high-performance GPU, AMD Settings | Nvidia Settings | Windows Settings 
  • Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
  • Connection and Advance Connection Guides 
  • Untick the options in LAN Settings (make sure nothing is checked under Proxy Server) 
  • Change DNS settings (You can use the public google DNS primary: 8.8.8.8, secondary: 8.8.4.4, unless there is a different DNS you would rather use)

  • Yes, I get the error code on every page from the users agreement to the main page and career mode. I have tried all the things you have suggested but still nothing changed at the moment.

    Hi @Hazbless @dodicetinkaya To confirm have you tried the steps I posted above?

    If so would it be possible to get the following info?

    Platform:

    PSN ID/Xbox GT:

    Region:

    Are you getting an error message?

    Date this issue started (is it still happening?)?

    Is anything else happening?

    Please share any steps you've tried to far to resolve the issue:

    If possible, share a Screenshot or Clip...

    If on PC, please share a DxDiag and an EA App Error Report ID (Allows us to get PC Spec's, Check for errors/crashes, and look at drivers)

    Are you getting an error message?: Yes, I get an error message, with the error code 5 after I try to accept the terms and conditions and when I try to make any changes.

    Date this issue started (is it still happening?)?: Started yesterday when I installed the game again after resetting my windows install, still happening today.

    Is anything else happening?: Not really, just that I cant save any changes made to the settings and cant start the carreer mode.

    Please share any steps you've tried to far to resolve the issue: I have 1. Repaired the game 2. Reinstalled the game 3. Tried all the solutions from the other threads that said the issue could be fixed by turning off tooltips, without any success 4. Added the game to my antivirus exceptions so antivirus should not cause any issues

    If possible, share a Screenshot or Clip: I attached a screenshot of the error

    If on PC, please share a DxDiag and an EA App Error Report ID (Allows us to get PC Spec's, Check for errors/crashes, and look at drivers): attached dxgiag to my message

  • Are you stil hvanig  problems with the error code if I my ask you. because i'm having the same problem as you

    Product: EA SPORTS PGA TOUR
    Platform:PC
    Summarize your bug Yes, I get an error message, with the error code 5 after I try to accept the terms and conditions and when I try to make any changes.
    How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
    Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Launch the game, do anything that would need to save data on disk.
    What happens when the bug occurs? Popup comes up saying there has been an issue with saving data
    What do you expect to see? No popup, data saved correctly on disk

    Things I have tried so far:

    Relaunching the game

    Repairing the game through the EA app

    Reinstalling the game

    Deleting the "PGA TOUR" folder in my documents folder

    Adding all the relevant folders to be excluded from my antivirus

    Disabling antivirus completely

    Im also having the same issue. constantly popping up error code 5. I can only play quick play because im not allowed when going in to carreer mode

  • How possible, even with a 40GB update it's not even fixed? An ''error code 5'' is spamming me. I uninstalled twice. I ''repaired'' I don't know how many times. I've tried on other device. 60 euros... I'm really sorry I love EA sports games but wow, 2 months like that 

  • Yes i did evrything, changed of device, uninstalled, repaired, and i still spammed of error code 5 about savings errors

    Hi @theopruvot51 Thanks for the update, Would it be possible to try the following?

    • Restart your device in Clean Boot mode, then just try running the client and game
    • Try a new user or admin account

    If the issue continues would it be possible to get the following?

    DxDiag and an EA app Error ID

  • Same here, tried all suggested, nothing works.

    EA you have to come up with a solution, game expensive enough.

    Oh the irony, your error reporter in EA app has not been working for weeks now.
