Re: PGA Tour - Crashing during career mode

I am on PC and it crashes every time it tries to connect to the EA Servers. Just right back to the EA home page.

Getting crashes every 2 holes in career mode.

Game is trashhhhhhh, can barely run above 25 FPS in 4k.  Glitchy and shuddering all over

PC Specs:

i7-9700k

RTX 3060 12 GB

24 GB RAM

tried all the solutions that ea suggested and i still cannot play a whole hole or challange without crashing. my god what a horrible experience. i want a refund but i dont wanna lose all my delux pre order stuff. to think i was gonna love playing this on my new pc. i should have just pre ordered on my series x. such a horrible waste of money.

Game loads fine during a swing when ball is in flight game just drops. No error message.

I usually get in a few holes before crash, but I think 3 holes is the most I have played before crash.

Play the game as released it will crash on you.

Getting disconnected a lot today. I only got kicked last night when trying to work on Masters challenges progression. But today its been terrible, dxdiag attached.

There really isn't anything to capture on my end, as the game will simply stop and I'm staring at the desktop and or EA play screen.

I meant to add that I did clear out my PC cache and then the EA cache in the EA App.

How often does the bug occur? Each time the round is played on career legacy.
How can we find the bug ourselves? Load a playoff event.

Been following this thread for about 10 days now as I have had this same issue with no fix where I crash upon winning the amateur playoff upon making the final putt.  Loading the game back up and trying to play any further in the career results in the game loading that final playoff hole, flyover and crash like many have said before me.

Can't emphasize enough how disappointing it was to see a post from EA about a patch that was supposed to address this specific issue when it has not.  Just a simple, 'We apologize for our latest patch being unable to fix this issue' within this thread or some of the many others out there would go a long way in just acknowledgement of your customers and their concerns with your product.

At any rate, when I was able to play the game, albeit very little, I had a blast and would love to get back to trying it out some more.

I'll put this info anyway just for tracking purposes on your end, but like everyone else in this thread or unaware of how to contact you and are just sitting idly by waiting for a new fix, we all would love a 'new' or 'updated' response or post related to a fix or ongoing work to resolve it at least.

How often does the bug occur? Everysingle time going back to 4/09/23 (10-15 attempts)
How can we find the bug ourselves? I can provide my address for you to send a rep out and watch it happen in person if you so prefer.  I have the time.  Otherwise I would hope bug reports through PS5 and that system would somehow talk to your team to provide the results of what they are seeing/getting from said crashes

  No just crashes to home screen after making last putt but ONLY if it will result in me winning or losing. I've played the same 3 playoff holes 4 times now, one time I ended up tying and so we went to another round of playoffs and it didnt crash BUT after getting to end of those 3 holes with lead it crashed. AGAIN. 5th time.

How often does the bug occur?

  Everytime the final putt will result in winning or losing the playoff.

How can we find the bug ourselves?

  Go into career mode, get into a playoff in final round of tourney and try to win.

Created player, in career, on Korn Ferry Tour.  About to win my first tournament.  Go into a three hole playoff with a computer player.  On final hole, I sink the birdie, game freezes and kicks me to the Xbox dashboard.  Load it back up, load tournament, takes me back to the last hole of the playoff.  This time, it doesn't finish loading the hole.  Kicks me out to the Xbox dashboard.  Try a couple more times, same result.  Reboot Xbox, same result.  Frustrating.

Definitely experiencing this issue. Sink the final putt during a playoff at The Players Championship and the game crashes to desktop. Tried everything here and online to no avail.

Career mode playoff crash. Replays last hole and upon completion crashes every time. Has ground the game to a complete halt for me. Not happy

Had the same issue with 100% crash when sinking final putt in playoff and was able to resolve.

Setup: Steam / PC

In settings I had FastPlay Enabled and HoleOut VFX disabled  and game crashed every time at end of final playoff hole

changed settings to FastPlay = Disabled and HoleOut VFX = Enabled.

Restarted Final playoff hole and completed Tourney successfully

Once I completed the Tourney I reset the 2 settings back to my original values

appreciate the suggestion, but this was not a fix for me. I tried this and every variation of the two settings toggled on/off

Is anything else happening? I cannot play the 4th round at Harbor Town. Every time I try and play- my screen freezes. I have tried to skip the event, withdraw, anything at all and it just freezes. I have spent hours grinding and finally have my player where I want him to be and I cannot play anymore. I see that I am clearly not the only one: can we please get this fixed ASAP?

"There is an error while saving"

After the new update I can't even play a Quickgame. There is alway the message "There was an error while saving" when I do the settings at the beginning.I think the main-problem is: There is no folder with settings in @Documents> PGA TOUR    -.-

How can I fix it?

I have tries all solution proposed did not work.

I noticed it on my PC and cant get passed it, installed the game on my laptop as well and exactly the same happens:

Im on the final hole of a playoff in career mode on Banff Springs as soon as I put in the put it crashes.

So from what I can tell its not hardware related, my PC is 12th Gen intel DDR5 and Geforce where my laptop is Ryzen 7 DDR 4 etc.

Hoping there will be a resolution soon, would hate to request a refund, I actually really enjoy the game!

Maybe i must terminate my subscription to your service. I can't believe is impossible to solve that. After the new fixes it happens much more. Bad Bad Bad work guys!

Im on Series X and my game crashes all the time.EA has no clue

And now, with the new fixes it does not start. Same problem now with Battlefield V (it works normally some months ago, now it doesn't start.) Maybe is your app doesn't works. Probably uninstall all and cancel my subscribe.

Is anything else happening? When i try to play the final round of the first pga tour event (the american express), the event setting page comes up, then the game crashes with the screen frozen.  I can still back out of the whole game, back to the PS5 menu, but the game is crashed until i close it.  I can still use other areas of the game, just freezing when trying to advance on career mode.

Please share any steps you've tried to far to resolve the issue:  Other than rebooting, i tried restarting the PS5 in safe mode and rebuilding database.  I also tried repairing console storage, but neither of these worked.
