REMOVE 2-16 PLAYERS STROKE GAMES FORMATE , CHANGE IT TO 1-4 PLAYERS PLAYING SHOT

How hard is it for you guys to get a GOLF GAME RIGHT? When have you ever seen more then 4 players in a group of golf?

Where in the game of golf does everyone stand on a tee at once and all hit off the same time?

Answer NOWHERE ANYWHERE ANYTIME!

Ditch the stupid 2-16 players and let 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 players play a proper stroke game like EVERY OTHER GOLF GAME EVERY CREATED . This was supposed to be done on the first update post game release.

CLEARLY CALENDARS AND DATES ARE ABOVE YOUR PAY GRADE EA SPORTS!!!!

My first game was block tennis on Commodore 64 the ghostbusters on Amstrad, then Sega changed the world as we knew it but originally it was a handheld yellow Galaga game in the early 80's shooting 5 rows of alien ships in b&w.

My first console game was Magnavox Pong game. Around the same time I was playing a Mattel Handheld Football game with 3 levels of LED's. It is amazing how much fun it was considering how little was being provided to the user.

Expectations were so little back then.

I also had pong as my first gaming system.  Followed by colecovisiion and an early Atari computer that was mostly used for games and some light word processing.  Neighbors had the C64.  Not sure why my parents chose the Atari over that….

lol.... it is funny you mentioned that game m. I bought a Miyoo Mini Plus a few months back to do some retro gaming on a handheld. And along with the normal console games up to a PSX. I did load in several PC series including Leisure Suit Larry, Roger Wilco... and Monkey Island just to name a few.

Wow, there was a Monkey Island game in there, no idea what it is. Dad told us they were still making those Leisure Suit Larry games, he had 2 of them on his PS4. Anyway, I feel like a kid here, I never heard of most of those old consoles. If it's anything like what I saw in his old Leisure Suit Larry games, the graphics were really bad. I can't imagine a golf game looking like that.

I might be just a smidge older than you... I had my own money back then.

My first console was an Atari 2600 when Space Invaders was king, followed by Mattel Intellivison and then the Coleco. After that a cross between Nintendo and Sega devices. But that was another lifetime ago... and my memory is a bit foggy. Good times tough.

My first computer was what we referred to as a trash 80, a computer made by Radio Shack. Followed by a Mac Plus (big mistake)... after which I built my own PC's moving forward.

    Fond memories for sure!

    lol....

Do a Google search for Atari 2600 and Mattel Intellivison Golf games. To see how far things have come... but even these games had some resemblance of golf as they brought your imagination into play.

@7AnimalMother never said or meant I want it gone, it's just apparent that's it is the thing that doesn't allow for another form of traditional stroke play. Until Ryder cup. If it's there then why can't it be full time. Btw I and a few friends have tried to get an online stroke in the tour , Sim and pro 2to 16 games dozens of times, only my  a friend in Cali has had 1 successful match up with 2 only so 3 players, but only matches we get are each other maybe it's the Australian time difference but 30 of us that I know of all are in that time zone

  • So you want them to remove the only fun part of Online Play? get a grip of yourself. Set your own 'foursome' up if you want that. To me the only reason i play online is to blast the ball around with 16 other players but for your luck EA seemed to have listened!, no more big groups in online play and the timer ticks down as soon as theres more then 2 players. * take it really is!.

I don't play online but if that is how the timer works it is unfortunate. Instead they should have allowed people to click on a join button for groups or 4 or 8 players. IF enough people make up a group it should start a timer for those players.

Meaning if there a 6 players of 7 available that clicked 4 players the timer would start... and the 7th player could change their selection or wait for the next round of players to populate a room to try again.

It seems silly to me to start a timer once you have the minimum amount of required players to start a game. IF I understand you correctly.

I fully understand why there is no turn based golf because the can have 16 players actively playing. What I don't understand is why they needed to have 16 people playing at the same time?

I would rather they put people out in groups of 4, with a leaderboard showing all the players, WITH maybe highlight cut scene when someone did something special. AND with turn based play within your group.

EA really should have created a focus group to help them flesh out things before they created this game.
