Request to devs for putter swing

EA Devs,

The putting (and swing) distance are mainly based on the aim marker and NOT the length of the swing. I'm a SIM player and having the distances be mainly controlled by the aim marker feels elementary, at best.

Can you please add an option to have the putter swing from 0% - 100% (in addition to how fast you swing) be the main contributor to your ball distance? This is my major gripe with the game and even requesting for the putting meter to be toggled on/off would not be a viable solution as that's mainly for tempo.

This has been discussed at length before KJ & unfortunately no developer chimed in with a solution. The problem is intent dictates everything regarding swing timing & tempo misses. It was suggested that EA add an additional feature where the intent did not cap the backswing length on any swing & let the player make the change of direction without having that hand holding backstop in place.

PGA 2K23 has an option that allows a full swing  even if intent is set shorter than 100% & if you miss it on your backswing the necessary penalty is applied to your shot result. I think it’s called Distance Control Assist in 2K’s game.

I have played around with the putting & there really isn’t enough feel there as is to have a workable single distance putting potential. It’s currently at 189 ft & trying a short putt with marker sent out to 189 is near impossible.

Really hoping the development team can do something with this.

I will try & find the other thread & drop a link in here.
