RIP to this Game

It’s more than evident at this point the devs have abandoned support. Between the pro pass with no end date and not getting the BMW Championship course added to the game is apparent that EA has abandoned the sinking ship. A shame since the bones and fundamentals of the game are solid.
As a PC player, servers have gotten so much worse over the last 2 months but the lack of Castle Pines getting added is just the nail in the coffin.

  • The writing was on the wall over a year ago, when the lead designer and developer left EA and ended up signing with HB for their 2K golf game.

Agree Michelle, once Patel left for 2K, it sure looked like this game wouldn't last long.

As for the server, there were few PC players in this game for quite a while.  And then there was a big increase with EA Play or whatever it is called, and the game being sold for only $10 or so. The game was stuck at only 30,000 sales for forever on Steam chart.

NBA 2K24 and EA PGA Tour both have the pro pass with no end date; except NBA 2K has a sequel with NBA 2K25 coming this labor day. Unfortunately, the sequel for EA PGA Tour is uncertain. The most likely next golf game that might show up is PGA Tour 2K25. I hope another EA Golf Game (preferably Nelly Korda PGA Tour) eventually shows up.
