Several things are bugs and need fixing

Product: EA SPORTS PGA TOUR
Platform:Xbox Series S
Summarize your bug Problem 1. Not enough shot selections available for all clubs. Recently, I was playing with high winds. I was getting destroyed with shots that had excessive backspin because of the wind. So, I wanted to use a lower lofted club, an 8 iron or a 7 iron, and use a pitch shot against the wind. However, when trying to select a pitch shot with anything beyond a pitching wedge, it wasn't available. That is not right. I should have the option to select a pitch shot with essentially any iron in the bag. The problem with any shots available with any wedge is the totally unrealistic excessive backspin that is put on the ball on any high lofted club against the wind. The next patch should add the pitch shot up to at least the 7 iron. I've even seen players on tour use a 5 iron pitch shot against strong wind. It's similar to a punch shot, but actually flies a little higher. 2. Excessive backspin. The backspin in this game is unrealistic and excessive. Without wind, I've been robbed out of good shots with backspin that backs the ball up 20 yards! That is unrealistic and it should be fixed. Unless you are playing #9 at Augusta, you aren't going to see a ball spin and make the ball roll 20 yards backwards. It doesn't happen, and I've never see a pro do it. 10 yards? Maybe, if the conditions are right. And then, speaking of backspin, another issue is excessive backspin hitting the ball out of the rough. Not going to happen in any way. Maybe ask your programmers to do a search online about how spin is put onto the ball. When your ball is on a tight lie, you can generate maximum spin, allowing you to attack the flag and land it close. However, the situation is different from the rough. The thicker grass usually impedes your access to the golf ball, reducing friction and total backspin. You cannot fly the ball at the flag from the rough because it likely won’t spin enough to stop rapidly. The grass gets between the clubface and the ball, thus reducing backspin almost totally. There will be some, but not enough to back the ball up. Check, maybe. Back the ball up 15-25 feet? Unrealistic. That needs to be fixed, I've experienced death by excessive backspin too many times in this game to be enjoyable. 3. There needs to be more contrast between the gridlines and beads and the greens. I've seen many instances where there were heavy shadows on the greens and I could not see the gridlines or beads clearly enough to read the green. The problem is especially horrible at The Country Club, where the color of the green is so bright that the lines are nearly invisible. Maybe change the color of the lines and beads, or give us an option to choose some color that is more contrasting. Yellow lines and beads would work with the shadows, while the greens at The Country Club need to be maybe red or black to see them. So, expand the shot selection for pitches to include some lower lofted clubs like the 7, 8, or 9 irons. Reduce the backspin on shots with wedges and give us a choice of either a shallow or steep swing plane (shallow would take off spin, steep would increase spin) and stop the excessive spin from the rough. Try to make the grid lines and beads a little more visible by making them a contrasting color.

What do you expect to see? I expect to see this game made a little more playable without some excessive problems that do not follow the physics of golf.

The excessive spin part of this game was also an issue in the older EA Sports Tiger Woods series. I don't think the programmers and developers fully grasp the concept behind spin. They are making shots that pros make with 20 feet of backspin and interpreting it as 20 yards. Seriously, I have hit shots in the game that I intentionally hit about 6-8 yards further, only to be putting from 40 feet after the ball had 20 yards of backspin. That's unrealistic and a problem when the pin is tucked near the back of the green. And, I've also intentionally used a shot that allegedly has less or no backspin and got burned because the shot still had excessive backspin, especially from the rough where you cannot get backspin because of the grass between the club face and the ball. The game ignores basic physics and makes the game harder to play because of it.
