Simple solution, just don't play it. It seems to work fine on PS5, just like all other modes.

Absolutely agree with you. When I played, I bought tickets once or twice to play arcade weekly tournaments. I did not waste them on Sim Tournaments because that’s not my preference. People who want to play Sim Tournaments should get that option to play theirs.

Totally agree, I just don't get why some want to eliminate what other like to play just because they hate it.

Wasting 30+ tickets to play a mode they don’t want to play is a bad reason to eliminate a particular mode. Instead of eliminating a mode others like to play, they need to reconsider where to spend and allocate their tickets. I would rather have more options and content for everyone instead of less content.
