In addition, my accuracy attributes are good. Yet the ball goes where it wants to go. I aim left but ball goes right towards rough or bunker even though shot meter says perfect perfect. If the daily quest requires a sand save or par save, I aim for the rough or sand to get the objective; this is when the ball go straight and perfect at the green.

I'm sorry but i don't have this problem - the ball goes where it supposed to go - obviously there's still wind and elevation to consider, but generally i don't experience what you describe.
For real though, there's people saying "no wind" and then go on to ramble about how their shots are inaccurate, when in fact there is no "no wind" in the game. it's always at least 1 or 2mph - which his not al lot but still enough to alter the trajectory of your shots.
My honest thought with all this then is, and i'm really sorry to say so because i hate the people that argue this way, to just get a little better.

I don't play with any aids, I don't zoom in to aim my shot. I play the wind by "feel" after playing so many rounds I know how far to aim for a 15 mph wind. I honestly cannot remember the last time I hit it in the water. And my swings are never ever perfect. Always off by .1-.3 % usually. Maybe that's the secret? Don't hit it perfect? I dunno...

All of the people who “don’t get it” play on higher difficulty levels where, when it happens (and it does) they just assume they miscalculated their shot.
Because “golf in the real world” involves “randomness”, it adds to their experience more than it takes away.Put the game on Arcade with all of the aides and you will see it, too.

People complaining about the RNG, what are your career stats for FIR? GIR? Proximity to the hole? I’m certain I’m probably an average to slightly above average player, and I’m playing custom with swing on Hard using green grids, elevation and wind readings, but all other aids off.
I’m getting FIR is 83%, GIR is 81%, proximity at 13 feet.
As a reference, the average FIR for tour pros is 47%! Average GIR is 64%! The PGA Tour LEADERs are hitting 73% FIR, 74% GIR & 34 foot proximity!
I’m smashing the Tour leaders in all categories, and don’t consider myself to be incredible at this game….
If anything I think dispersion fields could be INCREASED.
All that said, I’m all for sliders that let people tweak the game however they want to play it. If they want it insanely easy so they can slam dunk a 2 iron from 250, by all means let ‘em at it in non competitive modes. That wouldn’t be fun for me, but different strokes ….- @7AnimalMother I don't disagree with you that the game is easy. And dispite how bad the RNG is in this game, we can all shoot well under par.
I said in another post some time ago, who hasn't shot a sub 59 in this game. I've done it on the most difficult settings, including disabling all the aids (ie. swing meters, elevation difference etc..).
The point is people want to be rewarded for the good execution of shots. There are many times during play I will execute what I believe to be a good shot, only to see it land well outside the dispersion zone. Some these shots can't be explained as they move opposite the lie angle as well as the wind direction.
And when your dispersion for a drive exceeds the width of the fairway... well...
I am lobbying for tighter controls on your shot execution (meaning make it more difficult to hit a straight shot)... and tightening up some of the dispersion on some shot types (not all, some are reasonable, like chipping...).
In 2K I can feel when I have made a bad shot, I don't need to see the result. And I know where the ball will end up.
In this game I have no clue... the ball can end up just about anywhere.

I am an arcade difficulty player and I know the Sim/Tour gamers play this game much better the me. I played this game when it first came out and I was playing well. With all updates that made the game more difficult, it has become less playable, but I have gotten better. I see posts where Sim/Tour players complain that the game is too easy and update is made to accommodate. Update 3.0 was one example where the putting became more difficult.
By the way, Sim/Tour players flexing their muscle with their “to just get a little better” comments to make arcade gamers look bad is rude and condescending.
- @PalomaMarvel24 I play SIM settings and I see it. I also have my character maxed out, and am using the Precision Spec that gives you 85 accuracy, and still see shots that cannot be explained. Though for the most part I am hitting fairly straight, but the odd shot will make no sense.
But the swing timing is also an issue. Allowing for wind and elevation differences... a minus value with the reticule in front of the stick will launch well past. Or the opposite will be true...
As I have mention often... until I am inside 72 yards or so, everything seems a little random.
When I play with my avatar that has no skills or specs... it surprises me I can hit a straight 10 yard flop shot and have it be 10 feet to the left or right. Don't you love the size of the dispersion zone on short shots?@ELF014Thank you for your response. Now back to your feedback, 72 yards or less is the place to head for. The RNG is worst at winds above 9 mph. I can still handle winds less than that. Regardless of wind, my short game is deadshot within 72 yards. Before update 3.0, the shots are automatic because lip outs were not yet implemented. After update 3.0, I can make 75% of my putts. I am not trying to brag, but another Sim player told me to “play a little better”. I forgot to mention the conditions. When there is no wind, my deadshot range increases to 147 yards with my approach. My best shot are the finesse, flop, pick, pitch and spinner. I can hit straighter without the wind. The only challenge I have with RNG is to get it to my deadshot range. That is the reason I like to play quick play instead of Career or Tournaments. When wind is 25 mph, all bets are off since RNG has full control.

I didn't mean to be rude at all. Just don't understand the problem you have, Earlier i tried to explain about the "RNG" argument that was made here, and non of the replies to that have been constructive - just finding more reasons to convince yourselves and others that the came is "broken", when in reality it is fine.
And to be clear, again: I am not playing on Tour or Sim. I play with all helpers enabled (pre-shot power, after shot spin, hitting triangle to dial in the aiming etc etc), just added shot shaping because i like to be in "full control". Also i adjusted the 2 swing difficulty things to "medium", rest is 1:1 as is in Arcade so you're not really making a point here.

I never intended this to be an argument. I am only giving my observations. My golfer has an accuracy at about 8 for driving, approach and short game. I also have specs with good power and accuracy. The issues are at its worst at winds above 9 mph. I see a dispersion radius for each shot type. I expect the ball to land in that radius or at most twice the radius. However the ball lands in left field.I have no problem at winds below 9 mph. Within 72 yards, regardless of wind, my shots are deadshot accurate. At 1-2 mph winds, my deadshot accuracy range becomes 147 yards. Getting to my deadshot range has been the challenge if I aimed perfect perfect. I figured out a workaround on the RNG. I actually aimed for the rough and got more straight shots. With wide fairways, I got a FIR. With a narrow fairway, I got the rough, and I can manage a hack shot to the green from there. I am highly confident with my Hack shot. This is not an argument but only an observation. My stats are as follows: 71% FIR, 88% GIR and 7 feet proximity. As a note, my style is that of a power player. So our styles might be different.
I have gotten used to the TW series and this game was a major adjustment. I don’t play this game as much anymore and I am ready to move on to Madden NFL 24. I am a more avid fan of Football, American Football and Hockey than I am in golf. I am almost ready to say No Mas. Once Madden 24 arrives, I will spend more time posting in their forum and I won’t have much time making posts that don’t make a point in this forum. You will have one less person to deal with.
